Terms and Conditions
These terms apply to the use of this website and to enquiries submitted through it.
About these terms
This website is operated by Speers Locksmith North Melbourne, 15 Melrose St, North Melbourne VIC 3051, Australia. By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Information on this website
The content on this site is general information about locksmith work. It is published in good faith and is intended to be accurate and useful, but it is not advice about your specific door, lock or property.
Locksmith outcomes depend on the particular hardware, door, frame and building involved. Nothing on this site should be relied on as a determination that a specific repair, replacement or rekeying is possible or appropriate for your property. That is established by assessment.
Enquiries and quotes
Submitting the enquiry form does not create a contract, does not confirm a booking, and is not an acceptance of any work. It is a request for a response.
Any quote provided is based on the information available at the time. Where a site assessment reveals a materially different situation — for example, damage to a door or frame that was not apparent — the quote may need to be revised, and that will be discussed with you before work proceeds.
Authorisation to carry out work
Before work is carried out on a lock, you must be entitled to authorise it — as the owner, the occupier, or an authorised representative such as a managing agent or building manager. You may be asked to confirm this, including by providing identification or documentation.
Work on shared or communal doors in apartment and commercial buildings generally requires authorisation from the owners corporation, building manager or owner rather than from an individual occupant.
Availability
No specific response time, attendance time or availability is promised on this website. Availability depends on the day and the current schedule and is confirmed when you make contact.
Consumer rights
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that applies under the Australian Consumer Law and that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Intellectual property and third-party content
The text, layout and design of this website are the property of the business or are used with permission. Photographic imagery on this site is architectural reference imagery and does not depict work carried out by Speers Locksmith unless it is explicitly identified as such.
Where the site links to third-party services such as Google Maps, those services are governed by their own terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
