Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal information this website collects, how it is used, and the choices available to you.

Who this policy covers

This policy applies to Speers Locksmith North Melbourne, 15 Melrose St, North Melbourne VIC 3051, Australia, and to this website. It is written with reference to the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

Privacy enquiries can be directed to info@locksmithnorthmelbourne or (03) 5608 5821.

What information is collected

The only personal information this website collects is what you choose to enter into the quote enquiry form: your name, phone number, email address, suburb, a preferred date if you provide one, and the message and selections describing your situation.

This website does not require an account, does not ask for payment details, and does not collect identity documents online. Where identification or proof of entitlement to authorise work is needed, that is handled in person at the time of the job, not through this site.

How that information is used

Information you submit is used only to understand and respond to your enquiry — to work out what the situation involves, to reply to you, and to arrange work if you decide to proceed.

It is not used for marketing lists, is not sold, and is not disclosed to third parties except where disclosure is required by law or is necessary to carry out the work you have requested (for example, coordinating with a property manager you have asked us to contact).

Website analytics and cookies

This website does not set advertising or tracking cookies and does not run third-party advertising scripts.

The Google Map on the contact and location pages is loaded only after you choose to load it. When you do, your browser connects to Google and Google may set cookies or collect information under its own privacy policy. If you prefer not to allow that, simply do not load the map — the address is provided as text and as a normal link.

Storage and security

Enquiry information is handled with reasonable care and is retained only for as long as it is needed to respond to your enquiry, to carry out the work, or to meet record keeping obligations. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but information is not shared or stored beyond what the purpose requires.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask what personal information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected if it is inaccurate, or ask for it to be deleted where there is no ongoing need to retain it. Requests can be made using the contact details above.

If you are not satisfied with how a privacy matter has been handled, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated as the business or the website changes. The current version is always the one published on this page.
